Sr. Student Academic Success Specialist

Caitlin earned a B.A. in English and Economics with a minor in Psychology from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education from the University of New Brunswick. She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Counseling and Guidance at SJSU.

Caitlin has a background in both editing and education. She taught high school in her home province of Nova Scotia, Canada, before returning to California. Prior to joining the College of Social Sciences Student Success Center, she worked as a Student Academic Success Specialist in SJSU's College of Humanities and the Arts Student Success Center.

Caitlin enjoys helping students discover their academic and career goals. Having spent much of her undergraduate experience as an undeclared student, she understands the challenges of finding a direction to pursue and hopes to help students explore their own paths and the opportunities available to them.

In her spare time, Caitlin enjoys playing in local ice hockey leagues and going on adventures with her husband and their dog, Newton!
